Paganini is great – the story is fun and the soap is clean! This isn’t a scent that I would buy to stock in my den, but, if it was gifted to me and I had a set I wouldn’t be sad about it.
The thing is, I’m sure Paganini was great – he sold his soul to the devil in exchange for some skill. But, let me ask you, have you ever heard of Johnny? Because he defeated that same devil who gave Paganini his skill. So. Good luck against Johnny, ol’ Pags. Seriously though, Charlie Daniels is an absolute legend on those strings.
Overall, solid shave this morning. I don’t have any single scented splashes or frags to go with the simple Paganini’s, but, this scent to me feels very “barbershop adjacent” so I went with a build on the scent – Pags, BarrBarr, and GTB. Smells good in the end – the lemon kind of ties both the simplicity of the laundry-ish scent of Paganini and the smokier shop of GTB together. Overall a very winning combo.
I should have used a less HD brush as the amount I had left in my sample was very small, but, I just eeked out three passes with the B16 and it worked. Blackbird lite was as smooth as ever and of course, as for the whole games, my Georgetown GUTL Scuttle has been stellar.
My 7 year old is already a legitimately better artist than me, but, here’s how I would concept a new label for Paganini’s Violin – I’m sure Will is going to steal this so I’m already contacting a copyright lawyer.
