August 10, 2024 – AA24 Day 10: The Bridal Shower Stag

I forced some normalcy today despite getting kicked out of the shave den for reasons unnamed. Lather on my face and razor in hand, I had to trod down the hallway to the other bathroom to complete my shave. For my second pass, I was relegated to using the residual lather collected in my goatee. Alas, the Stag protected me and I was able to finish, though with not the optimal results.
It’s Bridal Shower day for Li’l_Donette, so the Bridegroom-to-be and I got to go suit shopping before getting some barbecue for lunch, hitting the gun range, and taking him to make an appearance so all the ladyfolk in the family could give him the once over. He took everything in stride, even though I know he’s totally overwhelmed, especially because he’s not all that domesticated, or maybe it’s because I could put a 3-inch, center-of-mass grouping on him at 75 feet if I needed to.
It felt petty good to have a normal day in the midst of the chaos.
