- Brush: Declaration Grooming - Unicorn Bone Jefferson - 28mm B7
- Razor: Wolfman Razors - WR2 0.75 DC x WRH2
- Blade: Personna Med Prep
- Lather: Stirling Soap Company - Black Ice - Soap
- Post Shave: Proraso - Protective with Aloe and Vitamin E (Blue) - Balm
Day 7 of Lather Games: I had originally planned to use Melange to really hit the Fremen Friday nail on the head, but I just wasn't feeling it. I looked at the referenced list of spice notes on Fragrantica, and I saw an early and immediate standout... Anise. I happen to have Stirling Black Ice, which is scented with anise essential oil. It also features menthol. It's like an ice cold shot of sambuca. I chose to pair it with the Proraso Blue balm because Italy and because it uses licorice extract to soothe the skin. The scent is not noticeably licorice-y - it's actually "a modern, spicy fragrance with notes of amber and musk" - but I figured it wouldn't conflict with the anise scent too much.
