- Brush: Z Feidu - Barber Brush
- Razor: Blackland - Blackbird Lite
- Blade: Personna Lab Blue (6)
- Lather: Talent Soap Factory – Daddy Long Legs
- Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Seville aftershave balm
- Fragrance: Noble Otter - Barrbarr EDP
- The Lather: Second time using the monster horse brush and I think it went a little bit better, but with a name like barber brush I really didn’t have a choice. The scent on Daddy Long Legs is quite unlike any other barbershop I’ve smelled. It is significantly less bright and without the citrus notes of many other barbershop scents and goes for a far more subtle scent that, in my opinion, matches much more to what a barbershop actually smells like. The soap base lathered up pretty well and I really can’t complain about the process.
- The Shave: I was in a bit of a rush this morning to I ended up nicking myself a bit. So I just threw a little salt on the wound (Alum) and finished up my routine.
- Aftershave/Frag: Since it’s barbershop day I decided to go for the non-dickhole barbershop trifecta. Seville added some citrus and bright notes, while Barrbarr brought in more woody notes. Individually each is barbershop scent is good, but collectively I’m constantly in an olfactory confusion. One second I’m fresh and citrus, then all of the sudden I’m dark and spicy. It’s bipolar shaving at its finest. Apparently this is how AI sums it up.
- Theme: Daddy Long Legs bills itself as a 1920’s barbershop scent.
- Challenge: I took the quiz and did better than I could have ever asked for. It definitely wasn't because I knew the scent notes though. It was more about how many soaps from the vendors could I remember.
- Acknowledgements: Thank you u/OnionMiasma for the soap and u/2SaintsDude for the frag for today’s shave.
