Daily Challenge: For todays "Base Wars" challenge I am eulogizing one of the most recently departed soap bases. I don't think that this was a base that came out during the peak of the base wars but is reminiscent of that time in its naming. I'm sure that almost everyone here has at least tried this base and more than likely has at least one tub of it in their den. Allas, it is no more and we are stuck marching forward in life with just the memories (and backup tubs) left for us to relish.

Ok, enough beating around the bush. I am talking about >!Spearhead Shaving 20.1!< base. For a long time it was the unsung hero of bases, it was nothing fancy but it was just fucking incredible! Yes I know that >!Highland!< is an incredible base but its just a standard soft almost croap base that is insanely easy to lather, with just a half swirl in the tub you’ve already overloaded your brush. >!20.1!< however actually would stand up to you loading like you meant it and then transformed into a beautiful, slick lather on your face. I love it so much that not only have i killed 2 (!) tubs of it but as soon as i heard that it was being discontinued I bought 2 more tubs! I own (or have owned) at least 26oz of >!20.1!< base soap in just my short 3.5 years of wetshaving.

Edit: I actually read the challenge and neglected my current favorite base: Tusk. Tusk is life, tusk is family, just check my flair.

Daily Theme Justification: Lemon, that’s the only scent note!

Relevant Post Shave & Frag: Keeping with the Lemon theme, soap & splash both are only lemon scented while Sonder opens with a strong beautiful lemon scent.
