2 passes. Face lather. Good shave.
My overall shave result was as good as any other 2-pass shave that I get; BBS in most areas. For me, this is the perfect level of closeness as a daily shaver.
Two years ago, when I moved back to DE shaving, I would have been completely happy with Cremo which I did, in fact, pick up at my local drugstore. Today, though, I'm just spoiled for choice of shaving soaps that are just exceptional. There's really no comparison between today's popular artisan offerings and a store-bought shaving cream.
However, Cremo did the job. This shaving cream is designed to be lathered by hand. I used the tiny travel brush that is pictured. Cremo builds into a very thin, slick lather. I'm sure I over-hydrated it, but I did manage to get two passes and neck fixups out of that brush.
No issues with the razor, or with the blade, but I'm fortunate that I rarely have them regardless of what I use.
For today's challenge, I'll have to go with what I know. For many years I happily wore Shulton Old Spice. I still have a couple of vintage bottles of this. While I can get away with it [because: geezer], I think my signature scent would be this one, but lighter, crisper and less strong. So, Shawn Maher's Seaforth! Spiced and Seaforth! Black Watch come to mind as a scents that have that perfect balance of notes and that "just right" level of scent strength. And while I love both of these, his modernization of Shulton Old Spice would be absolutely perfect for me.
