July 26th 2023 - Lather Games Day 26

  • Brush: None
  • Razor: GEM Micromatic Open Comb
  • Blade: GEM PTFE (13)
  • Lather: Stirling - Tea Tree Shampoo Bar
  • Post Shave: Noble Otter - Two Kings
  • Fragrance: Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver

Wildcard Wednesday and this year I grabbed my shampoo bar from the shower, rubbed it all over my face, and got to shaving. The Tea Tree essential oil made my eyes water a bit, and I'm not a huge fan of the scent. A Stirling shampoo bar works decently as a shave soap, but it is pretty difficult to build an effective lather with on your face. I think it would work a little better if you were to shave in the shower and could build up a better lather on your head and transfer it to your face.

No scent connectivity today I knew there would be a few "schedule losses" (as Doc Rivers would put it) as trying to get 30 post shaves and 30 frags means not everything will always line up super well.

For the den tour, I have a cabinet in my bathroom closet with a shelf for soap/splash sets that I use frequently or recently acquired and want to have accessible. I also have a bin under the bathroom sink that has solo soaps and another bin in my other closet that has more soap/splash sets and some other random post shave stuff and soaps. I also have a dopp bag that stores all my soap samples and has a bottom compartment where I keep more razors.. My medicine cabinet holds my brushes, more frequently used razors and blades. I did forget to photograph my fragrances, which live in my bedside table, I will update later if I have a chance.
