䷀ General Notes

Lather Games Day 25 - Christmas in July is the Theme

And that's great, because it has been too long since I used this soap. I was also very surprised at how well the Brandy Spice AS worked with the seemingly different soap scent.

Challenge: I did not remember to shave with my off-hand unfortunately. I tried, but my ADD kicked it too hard.

䷀ Razor and Blade Notes

^(Wolfman - WR1 Solid Bar .46 ::: Gillette - Nacet ‹2 uses›)

This sharp Nacet was a very good match for this mild plate on the Wolfman. Comfy but close-cutting.

Razor and Blade Performance/Comfort Rating: 4 out of 5 (Very Good)

䷀ Soap Notes

^(House of Mammoth Tusk - Santa Noir)

Them: "Imagine a love letter to the holiday season - sappy evergreen trees, lush in their foliage (this actually reminds me of the citrusy quality of pine needles when crushed) married to seductive florals and sweet touches of fruit, that gives a lot of depth to the scent. The drydown is warm and comforting - soft woods, vanillic touches and a creamy sandalwood, with hints of agarwood and patchouli, for some body. ... ~ PS - I've been told that the scent notes are Twinkling lights, Rudolph's nose, Christmas tree, warm blanket of snow, Santa's sleigh, reindeer musk (cassis, balsam, jasmine, honey, sandalwood, musk.)"

Lather... Perfect today! Tusk is so good! Lightly creamy but super slick.

Hydration: Perfect (for me)

  • 16 sec load with a Lightly-Wet brush
  • 19 ml (3.9 tsp) added to build the lather
  • = 6 passes of lather

Bowl: Dollar Tree DIY Bowl w Glass Beads

䷀ Brush Notes

^(Zenith - r/wetshaving MOAR BOAR B35/508A XL ‹25 uses›)

Same: soft tips, backed by some backbone due to all that density

During the Shave Feel:
  Cheeks: Almost Smooth
  Neck: Felt blade but comfortable
After the Shave Closeness:
Cheeks: Near BBS - About as close as I'll ever get
Neck: Few hairs are showing some tip length (with most being cut flush)
