Chypre! Sheep-ruh! Shee-it it's cream day, not chypre day - aw hell, why not both?
Eucris is a smoky, woody, mossy chypre, deep and dark and ancient-smelling. Stirling Green is an inaccurate, brighter-and-fresher-than-authentic dupe of Polo. And Polo itself? Another mossy, woody, borderline smoky chypre. My specific bottle is a vintage Cosmair 1oz splash-on, back in the pre-reformulation glory days of the fragrance. It's not radically different than the current version but I do find it smoother and less cigarette-y. I think I could probably tell them apart in a blind test, but I couldn't tell you whether they smell different due to the change in formula (to meet IFRA requirements) or because my bottle is 30+ years old.
Oh, and cream-colored razor along with a green-and-cream brush to link the day's CREAM theme and my internal DARK GREEN CHYPRE theme together.
