I'm not sure if this counts but Barrel Proof appears to be a collaboration between both ZM and BBS Live, with Nate and Mel. We find here heavy notes of bourbon, smoke, tonka bean, sandalwood, and warm oak wood. I positively love this scent, and it pairs nicely with my other hobby of fine scotch whisky. Another great shave to start out the week fresh.
As for alum, the only thing I've used it for is application of some small crystal alum on any canker sores I'd have as a kid (from biting the inside of my mouth). Definitely an old school remedy but it works. I don't use it for the face because my skin is better served by an unscented aftershave splash, namely that by A&E.
