  • Brush: Мужской Материк Orange Stabilised Burl with 28mm Oumo boar knot at 57mm loft
  • Razor: Zwilling J. A. Henckels Friodur 72-V
  • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. – Glastonbury
  • Post Shave: Southern Witchcrafts – Gravefruit II
  • Fragrance: Zoologist Perfumes – Camel

In my youth and early twenties, I was an angry little punk (in the leather jackets wearing sense, not the Dirty Harry sense), and I despised Hippies. With all the cringy righteous anger of a middle class kid growing in a nice little town in Northern Switzerland, I blamed them for betraying the labour movement and paving the way for vulture capitalism with their "peace through weakness bullshit". I tattooed the barcode of my copy of A Clockwork Orange on my chest, got teargassed at protests, and wore T-shirts like the one in the NSFW SOTD pic. I've mellowed since then, and I feel both cringe and amusement thinking how young djundjila would have gotten in a tizzy looking at today's theme.

Today's theme: I'm covering both patchouli and incense (mostly patchouli, though, as far as I can trust my nose) with Glastonbury (a gift by the extraordinarily generous photodjudge u/Semaj3000), and I'm extending the incense theme with the post and frag.

This was a fantastic shave with a fantastic razor I pulled out after u/VisceralWatch talked about it yesterday. So smooth, so calm, so quiet.

For today's challenge let me loop back to the beginning of this and present the piece of art that is Hier kommt Alex by Die Toten Hosen. It's the signature song of a punk opera version of A Clockwork Orange called Ein kleines bißchen Horrorschau (= A Little Bit of Horror Show) in the late eighties and I think it's fair to say it's been one of the more influencial songs for German speaking kids of my generation.
