Today’s shave is a homage to Dan of APR and the incredible nose for scents that he had! Dan is one of the people who I really wish I had met or talked to before he had passed. I have stumbled upon a couple forums of his stuff (I’ll link in a reply comment since Reddit keeps removing my posts). One in particular that I found that dives into information overload was Dan creating his aftershave splashes. It’s absolutely eye opening how much went into him creating and experimenting with things and the community of minds that he worked with to do that. That is the kind of thing that is so cool to get an insight into that we “consumers” don’t normally get.
Daily Challenge: Another repeat challenge and again I have the same experience with this. I really don’t have an issue using the razor with my left hand, my Weck AA helped out big time on gaining that flexibility. What absolutely sucked was loading and lathering with my left hand! It just feels so wrong to use that hand to do that and took way longer than it should have to figure it out again.
Daily Theme Justification:
Australian Private Reserve Passione - Notes: Passion Fruit, Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Elemi, Apricot, Peach, Raspberry, Lime, Apple, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Musk, Lavender, Geranium. Thats 13 notes by my count!
Relevant Post Shave & Frag: All have at more than 10 notes! Passione has 13 notes as shown above and Gravefruit has 15 as shown below! Dan scented these products and he certainly wasn’t shy with the notes!
Australian Private Reserve Gravefruit - Notes: Yuzu, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Cedar, Green Mango, Vetiver, Freesia, Aldehydes, Ho Wood, Sandalwood, Elemi, Frankincense, Pear, Costus Root, Sambac
