Use of Theme: Information Overload
Our soap of choice today, Chicago Grooming’s sub exclusive AG 1889 is inspired by Guerlain Jicky and was the brainchild of u/Ythin and u/wallygator88. Meeting Information Overload criteria of at least 10 notes, AG 1889 lists 22 and are Lemon, Mandarin, Bergamot, Lavender, Rosemary, Basil, Bay, Orris, Jasmine, Patchouli, Rose, Vetiver, Cinnamon, Leather, Amber, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Civet, Tonka Bean, Incense, Benzoin, and Rosewood. I would list a ghost note of Ammonia, as it is the first thing I notice off the tub, however, it dissipates quickly upon lathering and is not present in the aftershave. Speaking of aftershave, I really felt the burn today no thanks to my little shaving helper’s handiwork behind the razor. Hopefully, the vast amount of skin-nourishing ingredients it contains will help after my near-death bleed-out in my bathroom. To fragrantly finish this morning’s blood-letting session I chose the real deal—Guerlain Jicky in a tiny sample vial. As there is more than one version, the current listing from Fragrantica shows 16 distinct notes of Rosemary, Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin Orange, Lavender, Tonka Bean, Orris Root, Basil, Jasmine, Vanilla, Leather, Spices, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Amber, and Brazilian Rosewood.
Daily Challenge: Leftorium Challenge
Our little shaving buddy Sapo makes an appearance today to seek out another new adventure in our shaving journey. For the record, Sapo is right-hand dominant, so he uses his non-dominant, left hand to shave. He has a temper, though he managed to keep it in check and even showed a new side of himself this morning. Even my mettle was tested in what would have normally been a panic situation for the average shaver. Some scenes may be disturbing, viewer discretion is advised.
