Not pictured in my SOTD photo is my razor stand, lather bowl, preshave, and the dice I use to track how many shaves are on my blade. Hi guys, today was my first wet shave and it didn't go well. I think I'm going back to my Gillette razor. I don't know what the problem was, I used a Feather blade since everyone here said they were the sharpest. I know my lather was good cause it was a half inch of pillowy thickness all over my face, just like the youtubers do it. I should also mention I have sensitive skin but very coarse facial hair. I pressed the razor really hard into my skin to get all the hair so I can be BBS, but now my neck is super red and I got a ton of cuts that I needed to use my stypic pencil on. I was under the impression wetshaving would be easier but I think I'm very close to going back to my old cartridge razor that did better. I was hoping to save money with this hobby. On the bright side, today I found a flea market vintage Gillette razor and clearance Proraso I scored at Marshalls.
