- Brush: AP Shave Co. 24mm Gelousy SHD Badger
- Razor: Fatip lo Storto
- Blade: Gillette Rubie (26)
- Lather: Signature Soaps - Danum
- Post shave: Australian Private Reserve - Ozymandias
- Fragrance: Stirling Soap Company - Dunshire
Danum is "fragranced with a careful balance of patchouli essential oil." Very patchouli, so I think very "hippie dippy." The weapon of choice today is Fatip's lo Storto. It's been a minute since I used the slant.
The soap is fine, but I feel like at least on this first use, it was lacking some slickness. The Fatip slant was quite nice, and the soap is fine, just not great. It deserves a few more shaves, at least. It may not be an all star but it was a good shave, and I do like the patchouli.
I don't have much else which is big on patchouli... or from the UK... and so I end up picking something at random, something from down under: the Ozymandias splash from Australian Private Reserve. And again at random, a sample of Stirling's Dunshire perfume.
As for music, man, I just don't know. I don't know that any music really goes with a shave. I mean there, in the moment, with the lather, and the blade, the focus is on the method. Sure, you might wake up with a song going through your head, but then it's replaced by the song of the of the razor against the hair.
It's just about cutting it down.
