My lathering depends on the soap base. If it’s too soft or thirsty I will scoop out and bowl lather. This is not set in stone but followed for the most part:

Catie’s Bubbles - coconut oil as 3rd ingredient - I’m not that familiar with this soap, but I think I would bowl lather. So today - face lather it is. Fitting the 26mm knot into the sample jar was not easy - but I got a little bit of that fluffy lather
