Who else had no idea that Port au Prince was mutton tallow until just yesterday?
I'm pretty sure this is literally the single soap I've used the most of, too.

I wonder if the new Greene Daeye will be mutton. Seems appropriate somehow.

I feel like it can be off-putting when someone identifies themselves as being a "black sheep," as opposed to them being labeled as such.

I know, in my brain, that a ram is just a male sheep in the same way that a buck is a male deer and that the male of any fowl is a... rooster.

Even so, the way that rams have been represented make my brain want to think that a ram is a separate kind of animal.

To further confound the ram/sheep issue, the Chinese zodiac 羊 yÑng, sometimes referred to as the Ram, is [ambiguous between sheep and goats](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goat_(zodiac)#Goat_or_Sheep), which definitely stoked some confusion in the brain of a young u/ginopono.

We're all well aware that the class division of languages used in England in the early second millenium is the reason that meat words like beef and mutton came from French while the names for the animals themselves are Germanic. Of course.

But waitβ€”what's the difference between mutton and lamb? Aside, of course, from lamb curiously being a word of Germanic origin. I've never eaten mutton, but I do love me a lamb gyro.

Lamb is exactly what it says on the tin: baby sheep. That veal episode of South Park didn't mention that, did it? ... Did it?

That lambs dislike great birds of prey does not seem strange; only it gives no ground for reproaching these birds of prey for bearing off little lambs. And if the lambs say among themselves: "these birds of prey are evil; and whoever is least like a bird of prey, but rather its opposite, a lambβ€”would he not be good?" there is no reason to find fault wih the institution of an ideal, except perhaps that the birds of prey might view it a little ironically and say: "we don't dislike them at all, these good little lambs; we even love them: nothing is more tasty than a tender lamb."

Any of you guys remember that documentary about faces that John Cleese hosted 20-some years ago? Literally just this morning I remembered a section where he talked about how sheep recognize other sheep's faces.

The way it was represented was pretty stupid, though:

The sheep were presented with 2 doorways, one with a friend sheep's face over it and the other with a strange sheep. Then they showed that on the other side of the friend's door they were rewarded with a big pile of food, so I was like, "Wouldn't they just have gone after the food?"

I recently found out that finer grades of steel wool, which I'd previously thought of as the extra-rough-destroy-everything annihilator, can be used to polish glass and chrome. I probably won't try it, though.

I feel like I should disclaim that I do not, in fact, believe that there are steel-wool-bearing sheep.

Snow White and Mary's little lamb are one and the same.
That kind of raises some questions about that huntsman guy...

Side note: Rutger Hauer was the best huntsman.

Side side note (edit): I don't think I had been aware that Rutger Hauer is no longer alive.
