    Haven’t used a Lord blade in a long time. When I first got into wet shaving, the Lord Platinum was my go-to. It just worked the best for me at the time. My facial hair is much thicker and course these days, and the Lord blades just don’t offer as smooth a finish as they once did for me. I still ended up with a great final result, but it took two passes (WTG & XTG) plus some buffing to achieve it. If I used a more aggressive razor, it may have been a different story. I just can’t help but love my Blue Tip for every day shaves! I’ve really fallen in love with it again this past month and regret it collecting dust over the last few years.

    I recently found out that finer grades of steel wool, which I'd previously thought of as the extra-rough-destroy-everything annihilator, can be used to polish glass and chrome. I probably won't try it, though.

    I feel like I should disclaim that I do not, in fact, believe that there are steel-wool-bearing sheep.

    Ah, this blade feels so much better in this razor compared to the Baili BR171. I do like the BR171, but not with this blade.

    This razor/blade combo is simply great.

    Got sunburned to all hell yesterday, so this was a little bit of an uncomfortable shave on the back of my neck. Thankfully, I was wearing a hat when the sunburning question occurred, so the rest of the shave was comfortable. This pass around v24 is fun, though I think I need to use it back to back with my v23 and see if I can really identify the difference. Without the direct comparison, though, I think I like the v24 a tad more. $ShepherdsofStirling

    May my shepherding this month bring me the luck of the clover. Morning shave before work and minutes before viewing a potential house. Like my AA setup, everything was great. We’ll be putting in an offer tonight.

    Also, update on soap usage. First five days I averaged 2g per shave. I decided to load a bit heavier days 6-10 but to my surprise I used even less. 9 grams over the five days. Proof.

    Hope you all had a great weekend. I’m off the next two after getting off at 11 tonight.

    Nice relaxing Sunday Shave to finish the weekend. Watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics, still proud of the US Men’s Basketball Team from yesterday! If there was any doubt about Curry being an all time great go back and watch the last two minutes when he made one ridiculous shot after another to keep the Gold Medal with us. Looking ahead to LA28 just down the coast from me in Washington State here and what that team will look like, and what a beast Wemby will be by then. Back to the shave, I’ve really had a hard time breaking my Moar Boar in but it finally feels like it’s turning a corner and making lather instead of just absorbing soap. I usually don’t use a GEM past 3 or 4 shaves so I am interested to see how I will need to mind my technique to get to the finish line and finally earn my first flair! I really enjoy Campania, such a clean aquatic scent and maybe someday I can pick up the real deal. Have a good weekend everyone, and a nice week ahead.
