    Today is Lil_Donette’s 28th birthday and that’s hard to believe. How time flies.

    Today’s shave was a little bloody. Note to self: Set the angle before putting the blade to your face and you won’t draw blood. The angles are coming along, though. The aforementioned mistake was with my off-hand while trying to edge around the top of my mustache. I also paid more attention to working the blade from heel to toe perpendicular to the cylindrical aspect of my face and neck and it’s working better.

    Back-to-back days of great shaves with the Weck. I am a little bit irritated this morning, but I am blaming that on the run beforehand because it is easier than admitting I was a little rushed and likely faltered a bit on technique. I hope everyone had a great Monday!

    Work was indeed a shitshow. Did a nice easy 2 pass shave tonight, the boar brush held enough lather to do both passes without a reload! I'm pretty blown away by how quickly this thing is breaking in, reminds me of the Maggard boar but with no gel. I typically shave in the AM but these evening shaves have been therapeutic.

    Lots of water into the bowl lather for today. Trying to find my best way to bowl lather Chiseled Face OG tallow.

    Same: First pass has just a tiny bit of tugginess to it. But no irritation that lasts longer than a little tuggy stroke. Latter passes feel fine and give a reasonably close shave. 5 pretty quick passes.

    Razor and Blade Performance/Comfort Rating: 2 out of 5 (Okay)

    I just love all the aspects of this scent!

    Scent Strength: 6/10, nicely present during shaving.

    Lather... Today I pushed lots of water into the bowl lather and got it to that melty marshmallow creme appearance. It was super drippy and messy, but very slick.

    Performance wise, due to the slickness, I think it is my best way if I have to bowl lather CF.

    I was wondering if lots of mixing would help the lather in its highly-hydrated state, and maybe it did, but I don't think too much.

    Hydration: Perfect (for me) + = 9 passes of lather

    Same: awesome.

    Since this was a really wet lather I felt the backbone of the brush bristles a little bit more than lately.

    During the Shave Feel:
      Cheeks: Felt blade but comfortable
      Neck: Felt blade but comfortable
    After the Shave Closeness:
      Cheeks: Close Shave
      Neck: Several hairs are showing some tip length (still a pretty good shave)
