June 1st, 2024 - Lather Games Day 1

• Prep: warm shower

• Brush: AP Shave Co x Shavemac with Muhle STF knot

• Razor: Schick BBR-1J

• Blade: Schick Proline

• Lather: Baume.be - Original - Cream

• Post-Shave: Thayers - Unscented - Toner

• Fragrance: Barrister & Mann - Reserve Lavender - EdC

I haven't posted a shave with a Schick kamisori shavette, which is the most unique and furthest piece of razor hardware I could locate in my den tonight.

First time with this Baum.be cream, I've had this sitting for months (shocker to nobody) and remembered I'd neglected to try it. It's a solid cream, it whipped up into a very usable lather extremely quickly, and has a light but very pleasant clean scent. I wouldn't go crazy trying to track some down but I'm glad I got this tub cheap from the BST.

The brush typically lives in my travel kit but I had to break it out to rep our sponsor today. This is easily my favorite synthetic knot I've tried and I couldn't resist getting my hands on a shavemac beehive 🤤

June 2nd, 2024 - Lather Games Day 2

• Brush: C&R Aluminum handle with 28mm Romera Badger Bulb

• Razor: Rex Supply Sentry (loan)

• Blade: Polsilver (3?)

• Lather: Noble Otter - Plunder - Soap

• Post-Shave: Noble Otter - Monoi de Tahiti - Splash

I swear I have a Plunder splash but I could not find it for the life of me. I think my den might be out of control folks 🤣

Noble Otter is one of my all time favorite brands because their branding coupled with awesome bases and scents is just too good to ignore. I'll never stop supporting them as long as they're around. Keep it up /u/nobleotter!!!

Rex Sentry is a decent razor, I'm borrowing it as part of a passaround, which I'm super glad for because this isn't something I'd be happy if I purchased. It feels draggy like the Henson/Yates Winning razor did and it is too mild for my liking. The fit and finish of the razor are good but the geometry just ain't for me.

June 3rd, 2024 - Lather Games Day 3

• Post-Shave: Chicago Grooming Co. - Gold Coast - Splash

• Fragrance: Maison Francis Kurkdjian - Baccarat Rouge 540 - EdP

Decided to rep some duck fat base today with CGC, darkwing being one of my personal favorite bases on the market currently. The scent on the soap is wonderful, but today all I could detect from the splash was alcohol and ws-23 🤷‍♂️

I went into this shave with low expectations of the Konsul given how much I didn't like the Sentry but was wildly surprised. I had an absolutely incredible shave with this razor, minimal irritation when I used the Osma™️ block and I hit all my trouble spots for a 100% BBS finish. I believe this is the first modern adjustable I've tried and I'm very impressed. I'm looking forward to playing with the different settings on this razor!
