    A truly fantastic shave, as close to BBS as I can get. Fresh GEM blade in a MM24 is unmatched. TFMoM is one of my favorite scents in my den, so it felt like a no-brainer today. Let the madness begin!

    First time with a DG brush (thanks to u/EldrormR). Holy cow does this thing hold water. It’s gonna take a few tries to figure out how to build a good lather more easily, but I can see why people like these – it’s a very comfortable brush to use. Not sure that I would spend $400 on one, but it’s less of a mystery to me now why others do.

    SW was the clear choice to me today. I haven’t used very much Chiseled Face, and all I own are samples of Sherlock and Stag (which I am categorically not in the cult of). Meanwhile, although I struggle with the complexity of some of the SW scents, I’ve grown very fond of them over the last couple years, and the base is stellar.

    Not a hard choice for me today. Rawr is my SO’s favorite, I don’t own or like Tabac, and the otter is so cute in its little costume. Still can’t figure out how to hone in my lather with this brush…I’ll give it another try and then return it to its rightful owner.

    Not an easy choice this morning, but I'm a big fan of this vegan base and figured I'd go for the ostensible underdog in this matchup. Plus, it's chilly and rainy, and tobacco scents are well-suited for this weather.

    This might be the only matchup where I don’t have anything from one of the sides. Looking at TSF’s lineup, a couple do look worth trying – too bad they don’t have samples. Intrepid Man is one of my favorites in the Stirling catalog, and felt perfect for this evening shave.

    The choice today was which SBS to use. Went with Bell Ringer in defiance of the weather because it’s simply a delightful scent, and I was craving that sweet sweet mango. Had a fantastic shave as I always do with Summer Break. Happy Monday.

    Spearhead was the clear winner for me today, and yet I don’t feel good about it. CBubs is a great soap made by a great human - I just haven’t tried enough of it (especially the fancier bases) to fall in love yet. Meanwhile, 3 Scots slaps. So do BW and SSL. The Highland base is probably the easiest and most forgiving I’ve ever used - I can turn my brain off and still make a great lather effortlessly. So, here’s to Spearhead/Seaforth/Dennis/Hawns. There’s no wrong choice today - but this is definitely the right choice for me.

    A productive Friday so far. Had a great shave with a delightful scent that grows on me each time I use it. The MM24 gave me a damn smooth shave. Went to the DMV and got my license renewed, and was out in 15 minutes. Sent smushes to u/USS-SpongeBob and hopefully will not upset the USPS or Canada Post. Now I have to actually work...the thing I've been putting off all morning. Happy Friday everyone.

    If it were fall, I probably would’ve used SW (Pomona or Samhain). But for spring, Sunny Lane is one of my all-time favorites.     First time trying Sonder today. It’s nice, but much more subtle than I anticipated. A lovely shave all around, though. Excited to figure out this brush – I haven’t used anything like it before. Coming from boars and synthetics primarily, it’s amazing how soft this is for an animal hair brush.
