I love my weekend shaves. I usually am not in a rush to get out the door. I received this yesterday, but used some B and M yesterday for the bracket. So wanted to give the CGC some love this morning. I was not disappointed. As usual my sus nose can’t pick out individual notes but the overall was very nice. The lather almost luxurious. And of course the shave was awesome.

Welcome back to the next next edition of March Madness. I was torn between using Boonana and Samhain this morning. Two of my SW favorites. But after reading u/Crossan1983 post I decided to try this. So glad I did. I bought this set some time back, but never reached for it. That will change after today. Also, its one of the few trifecta’s I have. Not a frag guy, but i do like this one. So fresh and airy. Kind of reminds me of being in the woods behind my house in the spring.

This one was a tough one for me. The Master is my favorite barber shop scent. But its hard to beat HOM and their variety of scent and of course the base makes a great lathe. And the splash is very soothing. Although the splash is actually Noble Otter? Sticking with the Wolf Whiskers brush for the madness. Really liking the badger. Great splay.

Another long and arduous week. Took today off. My grandson is coming down from Chicago today. He’s five months old. So we will probably just chill around the house. He is so relaxed and easy going. A bottle every 4 hours or so. A jar of carrots in between and of course a fresh diaper periodically.

I really enjoy this scent. Very spring like and supposed to be nice today. And the citrus musk has a pleasant scent to it. Very nice on a spring day. My brush has turned into a great one. The perfect amount of scritch and splay.

Today was an easy choice. I have no Talent Soap Factory shave soap. But I have several Stirling samples. Now that was a tough choice. Although no real wrong choices, they are all good. So I went with the Gin and Tonic. I have never had a real Gin and Tonic drink, but after lathering up I think I could imagine what it smell like. I used my old friend Clubman for the after shave. All in a great shave.

Gotta like a sub exclusive.

I wish my nose weren’t so sus. I have a hard time picking up individual notes. But the overall scent of Shire 2 is very appealing to me. And the splash is so soothing. I didn’t read the ingredients, I don’t think there is any menthol in this. But it feels a little cooling to my face.

The Wholly Kaw Amber Bomba was really calling to me this morning. I really enjoy that one. But the call of the Shire was too much for me. Finally Friday, it has been a long week. But, they all seem long any more.

I know TOB doesn’t get a lot of love around here. But this is one of the first soaps I started with when I got into wetshaving. I went through several of these tubs. Than I found this sub. Now, thanks to you guys I am wondering around the rabbit hole. So once in a while I like to get my old friend out. Naturally the lather was good and no problem with the shave. Maybe not as slick as it should be, but still plenty fine.

Hoping to see a turn turnout for Southern Witchcrafts tomorrow. Hopefully not a blowout.

I was very conflicted this morning. But I really enjoy the Southern Witchcrafts stuff. I have had the Carpathia for a while now. First time using it. My sus nose kinda gets the woods after a rain. I really like it. And the lather was very pillowy. Lots of cushion and very slick.

In now way do I mean any disrespect to Barrister and Mann. I have several of their soaps. Just had to go off script today.

I shaved with a Carpathia smoosh yesterday. It was actually an extra large one. And I still had enough left in my shaving bowl for another good shave. Once again got a great shave.

Conflicted once again. Tomorrow is Noble Otter and Declaration Grooming. I have several of each and I enjoy both. Might come down to a coin flip.

Very tough choice for me today. I really enjoy both these artisans. And of course no real wrong choice. Great lather today and of course another great shave.

I got this brush on a pass around from u/OnionMiasma. Thank you sir. It has a purple handle and is called Nebula. Beautiful pour. And the brush I think is just about perfect for me. Just the right amount of splay and a little scrub. He sent me 4 total to try, so excited. Sad huh? Looking forward to trying new brushes? Sometimes being simple is a plus!

I wanted to shave with something not in the top bracket. This is the second time I have shaved with this set. It has a spice scent to it. Scent notes says gunpowder but my sus nose gets none of that. And the aftershave is very soothing. And I sure enjoy the spice scent. And the lather was very nice.

Second day with the pass around brush. I really enjoy the splay.

This could have went either way for me. SBS created a sub soap for us, Prom King. And of course a nacho cheese and Mountain dew soap. While I didn’t use either one of those, I did use one of my summer soaps. Great lather and a very nice shave this morning.

On to my second brush in the u/OnionMiasma brush pass around. The handle is a multi-color handle called Naponee. Very sharp. The knot is a 26mm DG B3. Lots of splay with this knot, but a little much scrub for me. But I certainty had no problem whipping up a nice lather and had a great shave this morning.

Sonder is one of my favorite summer scents, so I am being optimistic this morning. It is 30 degrees right now. So my hope is the Sonder may force some warm weather? Probably not. I like Stirling but there is something about the Mammoth. And the splash has that great menthol feeling. When I get outside I may not agree. But feels great in here.

Went with the Chiseled Face Banana this morning. I normally load off the puck but for some reason I scooped some out this morning and pressed it in the shaving bowl. I dropped a few drops of water in and let it soak for a few minutes and made some tea. The badger whipped up a nice lather for me.

Than 2 passes with the MM24 razor. And than I sorta cheated. I did a quick cleanup with the 6S and a feather. Up to 15 on this Gem blade and its getting tuggy. Sure I am doing something wrong. But going to use it to the end.

Once again I am conflicted about tomorrow. I thoroughly enjoy both of the competitors. Almost hate to say this, but it could come down to a coin toss. Although I may go with the Mammoth. I just love the branding.

Normally I am a coffee drinker but I worked last night and just getting moving. So a cup of tea sounded good. Have a great shave day all.
