And I screwed up my tags yesterday. We'll try them again today $MammothMafia24 and $rawhoggin.

Oh well. The brush ate even more soap today, 40 second load got me 1 pass. MY experience with moar boar suggests it'll need minute loads and maybe a reload for about another 2 weeks then slow down. It still won't be enough to see the bottom of this tub by the end of the month.

The schick is almost too easy, I lose my angle if I'm not paying attention but don't notice until I put in splash and get feeback. I think I need to keep the face flat on my ski and not tilt it at all, more like a gem than an DE. I nicked myself a few times and I feel it on my chin. We'll muddle through.

I’m struggling with this razor more than I should. I have to break myself of the reflex to tilt it. This thing is more flat to the face than even a gem. No angle at all. But coming around my chin, I mess that up and just tore up that area. I have a different way to stretch I might try me where I need to be. I had similar problems with my MM24 last year, so it’s just adjusting to a type I really haven’t used before. 1 minute load today and I still had to reload at pass 2. There’s a noticeable dent in this soap already (though it had a dozen or uses maybe on it?)

Getting better with figuring out how this razor fits my face. Also realized it’s good enough after 2 passes on my chin I don’t need the 3. So less nicks. Sometimes it’s just a razor form factor behaves just different enough you have to learn it.

Brush is getting better. Still some scritch but not much and I had enough for 2 passes after my minute load. Hydrating that much soap is hard so I may go back to reloading between passes.

For my photo today Y’all are weighing your soap. So I tried it. Don’t really understand it.

So, a few days back I nicked under my nose. Alas this is right where my cpap sits do it’s very angry. I shaved around it, but we’ll see. I have to remind myself I struggled this much with my gem run last AA. Sometimes it just takes time to learn a razor or a blade needs it calm down a bit.

On the brush side, I left more water in the brush when loading this time and while messier I got a full shave (my usual.2.5 passes) with a 30 second load. That’s clearly the ticket. If anyone else is struggling with loading the boar, try a wetter brush.

I can’t smell the soap anymore. The splash is giving me peach notes finally. The brush is breaking in, but still a long way to go. But using it wetter is allowing me to do 30 second loads and get 2.5 good passes.

One thing that’s amazing is while I don’t smell the soap when I lather, I smell it a ton soaking my brush. I checked and my Moar boar has a faint hygge smell too it (which is what I broke that in with). Boar brushes seem to soak a lot of scent used for their breakin.

Sorry Eld, you get a quick pic today, I’m in a hurry. Getting better, only 1 tiny weeper and why is this so hard for me?! It’s a mild razor. Brush feels soft and is giving me enough soap with a 30 second wet load (still makes a big mess.)

Being stuck in a car for 2 days seems to be a boar break in trip. I did use u/loudmusicboy’s suggestion and put it in my center console cup holder for the ride down. It was dry by the time we arrived. Though when we arrived (after a day of visiting things on the way in) our hotel room wasn’t ready. Next morning it just stayed in the dopp bag until I got home because I knew it wasn’t going to be that long. Well that was fun. Except when it wasn’t. The blade started shitty, cleaned up in the middle but has been bad the last several days. The brush broke in nicely but as you can see from the Moar Boar comparison Pic still has a bit to go. I find these brushes never really dry fully in AA so it’ll break in better when it’s use is more spread out. I still am meh on smash, not getting a lot of the notes. It’s more than half gone though. The ring at the bottom is about the size of a silver dollar. Balm is half gone. Splash about 1/4. I’ll come back to it at some point to keep going.

It’ll be good to get back to having to choose again I think. At least it’ll be good to go back to DEs. Well except Monday when I’m gonna try the straight again. $Mammothmafia24 $rawhoggin $discord
