Lather: Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep 🐑

Hardware: Sabre Level 2, Charcoal Goods Torpedo Handle SS, GEM PTFE (1)

    Brush: Zenith r/Wetshaving Moar Boar

Post Shave: Stirling Citron Glacial Splash

I’ve been around these parts for a while, but this is the first SOTD I’ve ever done! If I fuck up the formatting etc, please feel free to correct me and I promise I will not compare you to a hate group or mention an obscure medical condition that has nothing to do with a free internet shaving contest. With that out of the way, this was a pretty nice shave. Hadn’t shaved for a few days so the Level 2 took the growth down nicely and the Glacial Mutton base was very forgiving of multiple passes. Finished with the Citron, very excited to get a flair after being a member for a while here but especially to rep the Mutton Tallow I’m such a fan of both in Shave and Bath Soap too! Hope everyone has a good day, and upcoming week.

Lather: Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep ❄️⚡️🐑

    Razor: Sabre Level 2

    Blade: GEM PTFE (2)

Handle: Charcoal Goods Torpedo Handle SS

    Brush: Zenith r/Wetshaving Moar Boar

Post Shave: Stirling Citron Glacial Splash

I am really not a fan of the month of August in general with the heat, humidity, etc. but one of the things that has definitely made it a little better was discovering this hobby and learning about mentholated soaps and splashes. Took my time today with a nice two pass shave, was rewarded with a comfortable one and the Glacial in the soap and splash made for a great finish. Hope everyone has a good day and a strong finish to the week.

Lather: Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep ❄️⚡️🐑

    Razor: Sabre Level 2

    Blade: GEM PTFE (3)

Handle: Charcoal Goods Torpedo Handle SS

    Brush: Zenith r/Wetshaving Moar Boar

    Post Shave: Stirling Campania Splash

    Fragrance: Stirling Campania EdT

Nice relaxing Sunday Shave to finish the weekend. Watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics, still proud of the US Men’s Basketball Team from yesterday! If there was any doubt about Curry being an all time great go back and watch the last two minutes when he made one ridiculous shot after another to keep the Gold Medal with us. Looking ahead to LA28 just down the coast from me in Washington State here and what that team will look like, and what a beast Wemby will be by then. Back to the shave, I’ve really had a hard time breaking my Moar Boar in but it finally feels like it’s turning a corner and making lather instead of just absorbing soap. I usually don’t use a GEM past 3 or 4 shaves so I am interested to see how I will need to mind my technique to get to the finish line and finally earn my first flair! I really enjoy Campania, such a clean aquatic scent and maybe someday I can pick up the real deal. Have a good weekend everyone, and a nice week ahead.

Pretty nice shave halfway through the week and almost halfway through the month here. Only 6 more shaves to get the flair! I’m extremely grateful I was able to get my hands on the Moar Boar due to this community, it’s starting to become one of my favorite brushes in my den. Went 2/3 Dickhole with the Executive Man, the Glacial was much appreciated on a warm humid day. Everyone have a good day and finish to the week.

Lather: Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep ❄️⚡️🐑

    Razor: Stirling Soap Stainless Razor-Standard

    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1)

    Handle: Henson Aluminum

    Brush: Zenith r/Wetshaving Moar Boar

Post Shave: Stirling Executive Man Splash

One of the things I was most grateful for in the $ShepherdsofStirling challenge was the ability to change your hardware up, and today I started taking advantage of it. I originally got the Stirling Stainless razor of the Zaar, this is from the batch Rod had to remove the “Made in the USA” from the razors as the unscrupulous vendor had them made overseas without his knowledge and rather than throw them away he gave us an opportunity to get our hands on them. According to Rod’s YouTube video when he was still prototyping this razor his goal was to create a one pass beast that would be both a daily driver or something that could mow down heavy growth. What impresses me the most about this razor is that it “sings” like a straight while still being a DE. I had tried previously several times to get comfortable shaves with this until I experimented with an Aluminum handle and it seemed to come alive for me. This setup also helped me understand another concept I’ve heard about but never really got until now: Aggressive Razor, Mild Blade. With the Personna Lab Blue, this is a wonderful example for my face and skin. The Mutton base was outstanding again, finished with Executive Man times 2. Everyone have a good finish to the weekend with an eye on hopefully a long a relaxing Labor Day weekend.

Glad to make it through Shave Ten, and claim my flair! Even though this has been the third shave in as many days, the Mutton Tallow base is so protective and keeps my face from being too torn up. I’m also very pleased how much my Moar Boar has broken in and split with minimal shedding despite me really wailing on it to make my bowl lathers. Best of luck to everyone the rest of the way, I am going to let my face rest for the rest of the month.
