I guess I'm half-assing it again this year. Making my decisions a day ahead. No calendar or plan. No special hijinks. Just super low effort. You're welcome, judges. You're welcome.

Never used Lodrino. This sample came with a Pasteur order when it was new, but it isn't even listed on their site anymore that I can see. As it turns out, this is really great soap. It loaded up easily and was super creamy. I needed maybe half as much soap as I put in my bowl. Good stuff. I dig it. I want to try their sandalwood now.

Good luck to all you "high effort" folks. I'm keeping it schadenfreude-free this year, but I hope you're not.

Base wars... Pour one out for B&M Reserve and PP8. They were so young. As far as what's out there, CB Premium and HoM Tusk are probably my top two.

I really don't have a reckless Maggard's order to talk about, per se. That always depends on someone's perception. I can say that despite my not using one today, the Maggard SHD and Silver Tip knots are some of the best off the shelf knots you can buy.
