    Day 1

    • Prep: Brand - Cube.
    • Brush: 28mm Synthetic Badger Bulb Knot homemade handle #COMPOSITE.
    • Razor: GEM.
    • Blade: Husky(Home Depot)
    • Lather: Tcheon Fung Sing Kathmandu.
    • Post Shave: Tcheon Fung Sing Kathmandu Aftershave Splash.
    • Fragrance: Alexandria Fragrances Cherry Flames.

I bought this stuff and finished the handle last month but I have been waiting for today! I actually bought a Karve CB for today but after rereading the criteria for New All The Things. I needed to switch to the GEM for a different type of razor and all new stuff. The downside I also ordered some GEM blades but they have not arrived so I had to run to Home Depot for tool blades. I did not enjoy this shave. I blame the blades, but this is my first lather games and I am trying to get all of the points. The Tcheon Fung Sing is great, nice lather. This was my first time using it. #ROTY.

    Day 2

    • Prep: Wholly Kaw Green Tea Deodorant
    • Brush: Maggard Razors Black Resin Handle Synthetic Shaving Brush, 24mm
    • Razor: 1920s Era Gem 1912 Head Knurled Handle Single Edge Razor #BRASSING
    • Blade: Husky... again, ugh. Don't judge me, I want the SE point
    • Lather: Wholly Kaw Vor V vegan base
    • Post Shave: Wholly Kay Vor V splash
    • Fragrance: Wholly Kaw Vor V EdP

I am a big fan of Vor V. The combination of raspberry and darker scents is fantastic. The vegan base is THIRSTY. I am done with those blades. haha. My neck can't handle it another day. Sorry, I am not as articulate as some of you.

The fragrance choice today was easy. I wanted to complete the lineup with all three Vor V products. It is a little ambery for a hot summer day, but the raspberry and spices will pair nicely with my day. Farmers Market, then the office to catch up on some work, followed up with some afternoon drinks.

    Day 3 - Almonday

    • Brush: Maggard Razors Black Resin Handle Synthetic Shaving Brush, 24mm
    • Razor: Karve CB #CNC
    • Blade: Astra Green
    • Lather: Stirling - Almond Creme
    • Post Shave: Stirling - Almond Creme
    • Fragrance: Chatillon Lux - 1904

To honor /u/RedMosquitoMM, I took a moment during my shave to think about the effort and time this event takes. I never thought I would need Excel to help or plan my shaves. My short post takes me longer than I would like to admit, and my posts have a fraction of his write-ups, so hats off to him. I then took a few extra moments to think about the effort and time the coordinators provided. I appreciate y'all.

It was such a relief to use a blade for shaving! And hoping u/VisceralWatch doesn't catch any issues.

For the fragrance- I was thinking about how to play with the sweet almond scent from the Stirling. I decided to go with 1904. 1904 has such a nice strong coffee and cardamon note. My thought was to turn the coffee shop into a bakery with the sweet almond. It kind of worked, but the almond faded quickly.

    Day 3 - April Showers

    • Brush: APShaveCo - Butterscotch Handle with Synbad Knot.
    • Razor: PAA - La Criatural Green #COLOR
    • Blade: Astra Green
    • Lather: Declaration Grooming - Bangarang
    • Post Shave: Declaration Grooming - Bangarang
    • Fragrance: House Of Mammoth - Alive

I don't have any soaps that say they are for spring but Bangarang. The scent notes are all hit. Today I thought I would go for the colorful razor. I am on a quest to try ever shave soap but unfortunately I have not tried Summer Break yet.

For the fragrance, I looked up what a dickhole ment. As the guy from the Chappelle show skit I decided to make an effort to mix it up the rest of the month. With Spring and Bangarang on the mind I picked DG Alive. It has a nice green note and the smoke juxtaposed Bangarang floral notes well.

July 5 - Canned Shave Goop

    • Brush: I used a can goop
    • Razor: Gillette - Sensor 3
    • Blade: Gillette - Sensor 3
    • Lather: Edge - Extra Moisturizing
    • Post Shave: Lubriderm Lotion
    • Fragrance: Clinique Happy and Oak City Beard Company - ISO Super E

Today was more difficult than I thought. I made two stops. The first location had no blades and only had pink pre-soaped razors. I went with the only option at the second. The canned lather takes a lot of the fun out of it for me.

The fragrance went along with the theme, it is WIDELY available Clinique Happy. I don't want to get thrown out, but it is a fragrance I have worn the longest. It is cheap, I don't think anyone would think it is offensive. It is my quick refresh go-to. With my long history, I didn't want to change the fragrance too much, but to channel my inner perfumer, I added ISO Super E to enhance this pharmacy go-to.

    Day 6 - Olfactory Overdose

    • Brush: APShaveCo - Butterscotch Handle with Synbad Knot
    • Razor: Gillette - Fatboy #DIAL
    • Blade: Astra - Green
    • Lather: Declaration Grooming - Sunrise on Lasalle
    • Post Shave: Declaration Grooming - Sunrise on Lasalle
    • Fragrance: Chatillon Lux - Sunrise on Lasalle

In honor of Chatillon Lux and Dickhole Day, I went with Sunrise on Lasalle. This is the most floral scent I own. It is an excellent blend of floral notes. The lather games have challenged me to think about how the scent changes throughout out the day.

Edit- I cut out the info about hobbies. That is for tomorrow. My bad.

    Day 7 - Fremen Friday

    • Brush: APShaveCo - Butterscotch Handle with Synbad Knot
    • Razor: Merkur - 34C
    • Blade: Astra - Green
    • Lather: Seaforth - Spiced
    • Post Shave: HAGS - Hellfire Club
    • Fragrance: Seaforth - Spiced

I was going to go with the dickhole again, but last minute I decided to mix it up a little and used HAGS Hellfire Club. The lather games have pushed me to think more about my fragrance throughout the day, well past the dry down.

Since the pandemic, I have been studying and tinkering with perfumery. I am very new to the hobby and am basically working on a collection of single notes. I have about 25 notes now, including different types of vetiver, sandalwood, and other herbs and spices. I now know the difference in smell between Virginia Cedar and Himalayan Cedar.

Day 8 - Small Business Saturday

    • Brush: Maggard Razors Black Resin Handle Synthetic Shaving Brush, 24mm
    • Razor: Karve - CB
    • Blade: Astra Green
    • Lather: Barrister and Mann - Fougère Angelique
    • Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - 42 Balm
    • Fragrance: Southern Witchcraft- Druantia

I blame Maggard for me being here right now, haha. I purchased my starter set from them to save money. I now have a handful of razors, more soaps then I need, and my wallet may never recover. Haha.

For the fragrance both Fougère Angelique and balm 42 are very lemony and bright. I thought the earth from Druantia would combine nicely. It is a nice summer day with rain in the forecast

    • Blade: Astra Green
    • Lather: Grooming Dept - Mallard Corretto
    • Post Shave: Noble Otter - The Noir Et Vanille
    • Fragrance: Chatillon Lux - 1904

For today, I went with Grooming Dept's Mallard Corretto. I am a big fan of this soap and followed it up with other greats.

For the fragrance, I went with 1904. I couldn't think of a better fragrance for Death Before Decaf.

This was my first shave in the kitchen.

    Day 10 - Musical Monday

    • Brush: 28mm Synthetic Badger Bulb Knot homemade handle
    • Razor: Vikings Blade - The Chieftain JR
    • Blade: Astra - Green
    • Lather: Barrister And Mann - Paganini's Violin
    • Post Shave: Barrister And Mann - Paganini's Violin
    • Fragrance: Barrister and Mann - Beaudelaire EdT

For Musical Monday, I picked B&M Paganini's Violin. This was the only real option in my collection, but I am always happy with a B&M shave. I didn't draw anything for today's challenge, but I wanted to argue for cool bottles. I recently saw a vintage Avon bottle collection. It contained lots of funky bottles like a snowmobile, firetruck, and steamboat. The firetruck made me think of NO Firefighter Splash. Anyway, I found this cool violin bottle

For the fragrance, I went with Beaudelaire. I am always a fan of wearing something Fougere. The Mousse de Saxe paired nicely with the smell of Paganini's Violin.

    Day 11 - Sunny Days

    • Brush: Yaqi - Arctic brush with Caravel handle (two-tone aqua green)
    • Razor: PAA - La Criatural Green
    • Blade: Astra - Green
    • Lather: Seaforth - Sea Spice Lime
    • Post Shave: Seaforth - Sea Spice Lime Toner
    • Fragrance: Noble Otter - RAWR

I listened to the podcast from the weekend for the first time last night. They called out Paganini's Violin on music day, and of course, that is what I picked, oops. Give me a break I am a rookie. But it also motivated me to up my game.

We have been getting more rain here this summer, and I love Sea Spice Lime, so color coordinated around green hues.

I have three that would work for the fragrance: HOM Alive, NO RAWR, or AF Green Envy. I went with RAWR because it perfectly fits the sea and summer.

    • Brush: Yaqi - Arctic brush with Caravel handle
    • Razor: Karve - CB
    • Blade: Astra - Green
    • Lather: Abbate y L Mantia - Monet
    • Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Marilyn
    • Fragrance: House Of Mammoth - FÚ DÀO

I have a few soaps from Italy that would fit today's challenge. They all have a unique look. The texture reminds me of kids modeling foam. The shave is great. They just look different. I switch it up to tub lather today.

I was not sure how the three fragrances would mix. I was thinking of Flower POW. The Monet has strong floral notes. To add the POW, I was thinking of Marilyn and Fireworks. I am happy with the mix.

Day 12 - Hippy Dippy Baloney

    • Brush: Maggard Razors - Black Resin Handle Synthetic Shaving Brush
    • Razor: Karve - CB
    • Blade: Astra - Green
    • Lather: Wholly Kaw - King Of Oud
    • Post Shave: Wholly Kaw - King Of Oud Balm
    • Fragrance: Declaration Grooming - Daemon

I didn't have anything Patchouli forward, so I focused on the incense part. King Of Oud has Patchouli in it, but the focus is on fragrant woods. I am happy to argue that Agarwood and Sandalwood are original incense. It has been used as an incense as early as 1400 B.C.E. Fast forward, it is mentioned in the bible with Frankincense and Myrrh(Why I picked Daemon).

Included in this shave, I burned/enjoyed a sliver of Wild Nagaland Agarwood. I didn't spray the fragrance until later. I didn't want it to compete with the wood. I picked Daemon because it features another OG incense, Frankincense.

For the song, check out Get Inspired by Genesis Owusu. Maybe it will inspire you.

Razor: Karve - CB * Blade: Astra - Green
Lather: Noble Otter - Orbit * Post Shave: Noble Otter - Orbit * Fragrance: Seaforth - Heather

It is a nice day for a frozen shave, we are feeling the heat outside. The shave was slower, with a LOT smaller strokes going against the grain. I will probably change out the blade today.

For the fragrance, I went with the sponsor spotlight, Spearhead. I went with Heather. I was concerned by the description because I love oakmoss. But it is definitely still there. I think it paired well with the Orbit.

A quick shave, no video. first time using this brush. I have had it for a long time but mostly keep it around for decoration. It worked well and has a smaller knot than I am used to.

For the fragrance, Romance would pair nicely with the Chypre. Today, I am driving, so the fragrance is just for me.

Osma Day... I... Have never used an alum block. I am not against it, I just never purchased one. Describing it as "salt on your skin after you shave" doesn't sounds appealing to me. I am not sold on alum blocks.

For the fragrance, I wanted to pick something that played nicely with the Sunrise on Lasalle. I picked Rock River Melody from the description. This is the first time I have smelled/used it. They paired nicely. The RRM brought it some more green and amberey notes.

I am traveling and only packed enough socks. So today, I used a dirty sock. I kinda washed in the sink before. I guess you could call it a lather.

For the fragrance, I picked Intense Cafe. This was my first time using it. Definitely, more rose and powdery than I prefer, but it worked. Proraso added some green notes, but they will fade away soon.

I don't think you can have a bad shave with Stirling. I am definitely more on the watery side for the lather. Today I am going for the lather paste. It works but definitely still prefer more water.

    • Post Shave: Wholly Kaw - Night Cap
    • Fragrance: Dossier - Woody Vetiver

Today I went with HOM Rumble. It was the only shave soap I received for free. Thanks, u/nathlam15. He sent a sample with a purchase. I don't hear a lot about Rumble. It is a fantastic warm rum chocolate scent. That said, it is too hot for such a nice warm scent.

For the fragrance, I went with Woody Vetiver. My goal was to uplift the warm scent with the powerful vetiver from Dossier. Mixing them added a nice sweet undertone to the Vetiver. The Woody Vetiver, vetiver is so in your face that it was nice to see how it mixed with the sweet, warm Rumble and Night Cap.

    • Post Shave: Noble Otter - 'Tis The Season

Merry Christmas! Today, for me, it was between Vespers and Tis The Season. I picked NO because it perfectly captures the fresh-cut evergreen smell that always brings me back to picking out a tree in December. Vespers is good, but I love Tis the Season.

I face lathered today. For some reason, that was easier with my non dominate hand than bowl lathering.

For the fragrance, since it is not Christmas, I went with Indigo in an attempt to be more dark and mysterious than Christmassy.

For the fragrance, I went to the Clinique Happy. You can't beat it at that price point.

Edit I have been thinking about this since my post and looking at other people's posts. I bet if you did the math the 5.8 oz Stirling is the cheapest per shave. It is such a good soap and heavy pour. I wish I would have used my Stirling. Tear.

    Day 29 - Sandalwood Saturday

    • Brush: Maggard Razors - Black Resin Handle Synthetic Shaving Brush
    • Razor: Merkur - 34C
    • Blade: Astra - Green
    • Lather: Barrister and Mann - Sandalwood
    • Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Sandalwood Balm
    • Fragrance: Dossier - Woody Sandalwood
    • Fragrance: Home mix - 1% Javanol

I bathed in the smell of Sandalwood today. I started the day with Fu-in Sandalwood. Then shaved in B&M Sandalwood soap and balm. I recently bought a palette knife to scoop soaps, I now play with my soaps like I am stirring plaster. Cleaning the knife, re-scooping a few times, and then leveling out the scoop. Turns out I am a man-child. haha

For the fragrance, I went with a Santal 33 Dupe. I recently tried another dupe, and it was way different, less floral. I have no idea what the real Santal 33 smells like now. Anyway, I bumped up the Sandalwood with a spray of Javanol.

    Day 30 - Bon Voyage

    • Brush: Royal London - 1980s Brush Taiwan
    • Razor: Merkur - 34C. Germany
    • Blade: Astra Green Russia
    • Lather: Saponificio Varesino - Cubebe Italy
    • Post Shave: Saponificio Varesino - Cubebe Italy
    • Fragrance: Tarife Attar - ASEEL Kuwait

We are going all over the globe today. Except USA because that is home base. Every time I bust out the Saponificio Varesino, I am surprised how hard it is. By far, my hardest soap.

For the Fragrance, Today was my first time wearing an Attar. I am very curious about Attars, but this one is ok. So far, it has been very powdery. The description has lots of citrus in it, but I mostly get a floral, powder, and light musk. The Attar in the picture is White Musk. I switched it up after the Cubebe shave. I just was not feeling it.

I am also curious about the Attars projection. It is still stong to me, but it was an oil. I don't want to overpower a room.

This has been fun, I am just happy making a post every day. This is the most posting I've ever done. Thanks to the judges. Good luck, P Dino and Onion dude.
