    It's time to catch our breaths after yesterday's furious battle. If we are catching our breaths, we might as well take the time to do some deep inhales of killer scents and I sure as hell enjoyed mine this morning. It seems this blade still has some life in it, at least enough to get me through Championship Friday. After that, who knows.

    Good smells in the nostrils including coffee this morning. They will help to brighten a dark and rainy day. Try to enjoy your day and remember to be kind to one another.

    So this month I’ve been shaving with the competitor on off days. But I must turn my back on HoM again unfortunately, as something more important is happening. Today is opening day! And so out comes the Diamond. My daughter proclaimed it smells like the fresh cut field. The balm smells like the concession stand. There’s frost on the ground but summer is just around the corner.

    Went with the Chiseled Face Banana this morning. I normally load off the puck but for some reason I scooped some out this morning and pressed it in the shaving bowl. I dropped a few drops of water in and let it soak for a few minutes and made some tea. The badger whipped up a nice lather for me.

    Than 2 passes with the MM24 razor. And than I sorta cheated. I did a quick cleanup with the 6S and a feather. Up to 15 on this Gem blade and its getting tuggy. Sure I am doing something wrong. But going to use it to the end.

    Once again I am conflicted about tomorrow. I thoroughly enjoy both of the competitors. Almost hate to say this, but it could come down to a coin toss. Although I may go with the Mammoth. I just love the branding.

    Normally I am a coffee drinker but I worked last night and just getting moving. So a cup of tea sounded good. Have a great shave day all.

    I must really be out of it today. Since I’ve been wet shaving, I’ve somehow acknowledged Reds Opening Day. Too much to do and think about these days. Tomorrow being what it is, I’ll make my choice accordingly.

    Today I gave Crann Bethadh a second chance. I light-loaded it just to give it a test as it burned my skin the first time I tried it. I thought it was okay until I did a heavier load for pass two. Though not as bad, I felt a little zing on my skin. I’ll still give this one a pass.

    Let’s off the plate, play baseballl and be kind to one another.

    Precision Load; Face Lather; WTG/ATG/Minor Cleanup Passes; BBS Result; 26th Consecutive / 300th Overall SOTD Post

    Stirling's base performed extremely well with my travel shaving hardware. I'm shaving in 18-hour intervals over the next few days to get myself realigned with the SOTD posting schedule, so being able to confidently produce slick, protective lather a primary reason why Island Man is my go-to travel soap. My lather did its job and the MM24 (with its new blade) effortlessly delivered a great shave.

    Congrats to HoM, whose place in the finals is well deserved. Can the Tusk skewer Big Soap? We'll find out tomorrow! Happy shaving and have a wonderful day.
