    I love my weekend shaves. Not in a rush to get out the door. Really enjoying the frankenrazor. Up to day 10 on the blade and still cutting strong. The WCS soap has a great spring time scent and it lathers up very nice.

    Tomorrow is Cheese Soap day. I mean Summer Breaks Soaps.

    I finally cracked open this sample of Varen I've had in the den for a bit. I think I was inspired by yesterday's Valiant Varen Flash Mob. Scent-wise, it didn't knock me on my ass. To my nose, the soap smelled very earthy. It was fine. But we all know how good the Sheep base is so this was a stellar Sunday morning shave.

    Coffee and errands and cooking await today. Try to enjoy your day and remember to be kind to each other.

    Continuing my non tournament brand shaves. This is my only tub of Gentleman’s Nod soap but it’s really nice! It leans more towards a croap in softness so I had to be careful to not overload especially with this brush. This unbleached Zenith is the stiffest brush I have with a good bit of scrub.

    Precision Load; Face Lather; WTG/ATG/Cleanup Passes; BBS Result; 8th Consecutive / 282nd Overall SOTD Post

    Today was a good test of my improved v20 lather-building technique. I acquired Fú Dào second-hand and while the scent is still strong, the soap shows its age in its loss of some hydration. I had to add ~20% more water to help load the desired amount of soap, but once the proto-lather had the right consistency the lather-building was as per normal, and my lather quality was fantastic.     Working through some frag samples my wife gave me. This one is nice. Nothing special. The Christmas Eve sample has reached the stage where it’s almost cream consistency due to use and lack of product remaining. Good shave though.

    Looks like we have our first busted #MMarch24 post. 50/50 chance I remember to adjust at the end. Eh more like 30/70 in favor of me forgetting.

    This little sample is the only Cbubs soap that I own which is too bad. Figured I'd use it before the March Madness showdown. Nice floral scent, and a similar lather to CFG if you ask me. I like it!

    Given the choice, I probably pick up Stirling- both have a similar value prop. Vegan though, it has that going for it.

    Today started with the fragrance. My daughter has been wanting to go to Sephora for a while now. My wife is out of town visiting her mother, and my daughter has been behaving well, so we went there today. Not a lot there for me, but they do have some men’s fragrances to sample. I probable have a bit of over spray from a dozen scents, but I actually gave myself a spritz of Acqua Di Gio. I figured the lime if Cuban Highball would work well with it.

    Blade is still performing well. Looking like it could be an easy run on it through the end of the month.
