Day 30 still #RawHoggin

So with only 1 shave remaining maybe a mini recap of my experience.

This brush is an excellent option and great value at roughly 7.5 euros. The handle is….what it is with an ugly cast line through the logo and a really ugly stamp at the bottom of the brush. It still has a little charm with the mirrored “finish” - it stopped shedding right around a week or 2 in - 2 weeks for the animal smell to be gone - and maybe 2 weeks until it was a pleasure to use

It worked fantastic for me with just running it under the tap and flicking it once or twice, and roughly 5 seconds of loading from the tub got me many passes of great lather. My experience is that it only stole lather if I soaked it.

It’s the right amount of scrubby for me which is probably on the “grittier”

This month has room for one more shave with this set and then it is back to some sense of normalcy and freedom of choice. I've enjoyed this AA much more than last year, where my distaste for Firefighter grew with each passing day (I realize that is a minority opinion around here). This combo has been easy and enjoyable to use for sure and I have gotten great shaves.

Hump day it is and I just poured the coffee into my cup. Giggity! Have a great day all!

Day 11 of my left (non-dominant) hand shaving skills development. Today was the best LH shave yet. WTG was easy-peasy and ATG was mostly instinctive. I didn't notice it at the time but I still need to work on my LH technique since my 5-oclock shadow appeared earlier than normal which indicates to me that the shave was not as efficient as I normally achieve.

Today's shave marked a poignant step towards the end of this arduous journey. The thirtieth day of this #WAR brought with it a mix of emotions - a sense of accomplishment, an anticipation of the finish line, and a reflection on the trials endured.

The razor, my constant companion, met my skin with a practiced touch. The scent of the soap, that enduring aroma of #WAR, carried a weight of familiarity and nostalgia. In the midst of the routine, I found myself contemplating the lessons learned, the challenges faced, and the growth that has taken place over these thirty days.

As the thirtieth day draws to a close, I carry with me a sense of pride, a reminder that even in the face of challenge, I've persevered. Tomorrow, I'll rise once more, ready to face the final day of this #WAR with a mix of determination and reflection. The journey is nearing its end, and with it comes the promise of a new beginning. Until then, my journal, I'll continue to navigate this path with a blend of emotions, ready to embrace the final victory that awaits. Gosh it would have been cool if I did every SOTD title as either a movie title or quote, but, I didn’t. Maybe I’ll stash that idea away for another time. Anyway – one shave to go. Maybe I’ll shave first thing tomorrow morning so it’s done. What was once an impossible feat – shaving before someone would see me – is no problem now. There won’t be a bloodbath. No drama to speak of. Just a very mediocre 2 pass shave from a very very poor blade, one last time.

Tonights shave was just that. Mediocre from a poor blade. But, Dammusi and Dundy have been and continue to be great. I’ll miss using both every day, but, I am looking forward to some diversity.
