No blood, no irritations, not a close shave. I guess it's just not possible anymore. My face looks pretty clean shaven though. I have and like that chiseled Face look.

This blade is terrible. Yesterday Mrs. Miasma said she thought a well-honed spork would shave better. And I agree.

But, my technique is now to a point where I don't worry about grievous injury. A cut-free shave brings me to an average of one cut per day, which is impressive because I think I was at 10 on day two.

4 more shaves left. Like everyone, I'm wondering what I'll use on September 1. Probably Pomona, and the Weck, and a new frag to try. And a fresh Fromm blade courtesy of u/EldrormR.

Surprisingly decent shave today considering how terrible my lather was. Way too much water not enough soap. Still ended up pretty slick. I’ve started to notice a pattern in where I get nicks based on the quality of the lather. Super runny are mustache nicks, super pasty are neck nicks. No idea why.

AA Mileage: 122 miles. Got 12 miles this morning. Glad I went this morning instead of waiting til evening, temperature forecast is a hell scape today. Edit to mention that I passed my LG Mileage today. 5 more days to get to 150. Pretty sure I’ve got this.

Brush before shave 27

I found the minimum to load the brush for barely 2 passes. It was a scoop of soap about the size of a Skittle or Plain M&M. The second pass had a much thinner amount of lather. Shave was not feeling great. I’d guess the blade is starting to circle the drain. I think I’ll get 4 more shaves though. Today had nothing new on the scent to my nose, but still liking it.

My youngest is pretty sick at the moment and was having a rough go before dinner so after my shower I invited her to watch me shave. She seemed to like watching, although she really didn’t want me to use “the yellow brush” and I explained to her that I have to for the rest of the month because reasons and that seemed to work. My oldest then came in the bathroom as I was finishing up and dutifully pointed out that I had cut myself a couple of times so I showed her the magic of the stinging styptic pencil. Works like a charm.

Decent shave, aside from those cuts. The hybrid pass is really pretty easy at this point – when I can change blades and/or try a straight I will likely go for more passes and chase that BBS now that I’ve got some basic technique down and am comfortable with the holds, etc. Should be fun.

Home again at last. Excuse the mess on my bathroom counter, but it was late and I needed to get my shave in, so I wasn't going to clean all that up just for a photo op.

It feels damn good to be back in my own bathroom again, where I know for a fact where to put my stuff and how everything plays out. A nice and easy shave was therefore on the menu, and it was a treat to carry out and enjoy.

Preparing for a long week ahead so I'll keep it brief, but at least I won't be changing shaving locations again for the remainder of AA (barring some surprise challenge or sudden whimsy).
