    Very swift shave this morning, still decent though. Cracking lather whipped up by the boar and the blade took down the growth with no issue.

    Now to celebrate the little ones birthday, kicking off with a trip to an indoor fun centre (save my ears!).

    Friday morning!

    I actually stayed up and watched the acceptance speech last night. So I am dragging a little this morning.

    I’m not really thinking into September’s shaves yet. September 1st is a Sunday, so I might just skip that day.

    This blade has more than 23 shaves on it, and it is definitely not as sharp as it once was. But still doing the job.

    2 passes. No issues.

    Precision Load; Face Lather; WTG/ATG/Cleanup Passes; BBS Result; 53rd Consec / 449th Overall SOTD; MRTNG's Ultra Nightmare Mode AA rules

    I've previously pushed GEM blades to 22 shaves, so starting today I'll be setting my personal best for blade longevity. Blade efficiency has been steadily dropping off over the last few shaves, but the blade is not tuggy and I'm not experiencing any irritation from over-buffing. I'm too stubborn to end Ultra Nightmare Mode before the end of AA, but I can easily handle 8 more days like today's shave.

    I see my brush is ready to loose another bristle.

    You know I got to looking at my aftershave and realized how very little of it I use each time I shave. Just odd. I guess that explains why I have gone through soaps bought as a set and still have the aftershave to show for it. I don't slather it on because my wife is sometimes bothered by it. But wow. Not going through it fast this month.

    Today I went back to my normal loading style, load fairly short to have just enough un-watered lather to completely cover my skin, followed by slowly dripping water on the bristles. This method leaves me with a thinner second pass but I like it this way. My private saxophone teacher is really glad I quit marching band because he hates marching band and now I have time for real practice; needless to say today's lesson went well.
