    Decent shave, happy with refresh, though as I said yesterday it wasn't in dire need of it and still had plenty of shaves left on the existing edge. It's nice to know that the peanut method works though and bodes well for the mass refresh I did at the beginning.

    I enjoyed last year's AA running a GEM throughout, but this one is shaping up to be better again. Though I likely won't carry on with the straights in isolation after AA (I'll have a new GEM of dark origin in transit soon, with luck, along with a twisted adjustable), but they will certainly feature more frequently!

    Beloved is incredible, and being a strong, lavender-forward scent, it pairs nicely with Varen.

    If this wasn't AA, I would have already binned this blade. For the time being, I'm going to keep going with it.

    Time is flying. I'm not sick of this shave yet. After yesterday's blood letting, I slowed down and enjoyed another lovely blood-free shave.

    Brush before and after pics here. I was thinking this morning that I've lost one, maybe two, hairs tops. This brush is put together pretty damn good.

    Straight shave nineteen and another really good one. No cuts or irritation, including not reopening the cut on my jaw that I somehow haven’t been able to successfully avoid until today. The only place the AS stung was the blister on my hand from yardwork yesterday (ouch!). The edge is still going strong, but I am starting to get curious about honing (after AA of course) so that I can keep it that way.

    Day 19: Last shave of the month from my current location, so had to do it early so I could pack up my AA setup to take with me. Will be somewhere with soft water for the rest of the month, so i'm interested to see how this can affect the lather. Change in photo backgrounds incoming. Blade actually felt pretty smooth for this shave, kinda cool to see how far it can stretch.

    Just finished the 750+ mile drive back from WI. Decided to hone tomorrow. Too tired to do a good job of it. Probably should have taken a nap before shaving. Not the best I’ve done at all. Looking forward to honing this and 3 other razors tomorrow. I’m going to touch up the two I previously honed and fixed some small chips. A razor I got from Duke City that listed as shave ready and tested, but it didn’t cut hair on my arm which is much thinner than my beard.
