I did a fine job nicking my chin and lip this morning. I felt like a total noob in doing so.

$BarnyardChallenge musical inspiration provided by Alice in Chains. I loved Alice in Chains from the first riff of the "We Die Young" 12" when it showed up in the WBOR's mail back in 1990. I've worn out more copies of Facelift than I can count. I was like a kid on Christmas (or in my case Hanukkah) when I received Dirt from the record company...in a bag of dirt. I had the good fortune of seeing Layne in full form a couple of times, including standing right in front of the stage when they played on the Clash of the Titans tour. I was crushed when he died and refuse to listen to the current incarnation. And don't @ me with the whole "Jerry Cantrell wrote all the songs" bullshit. Anyway, we need a farm animal song and Alice in Chains wrote one of the best ones when they wrote Rooster.

Now that I’ve used the v23 and v24 back to back, I’m quite sure that I like the v24 more. I’m not necessarily looking to replace my knot, but it’s tempting. New to me is also this Birch + Root aftershave (along with a soap that will have to sit unused until Sept), and I’m trying to figure out if the wintergreen is giving a cooling feeling, or if I’m sensitive to it.

Welp, yesterday I purposefully loaded "lightly", and today I purposefully loaded "heavily". Somehow I used less soap today compared to yesterday -- 2.2 grams with the heavy load, and 2.6 grams with the light load. Who knows!

Haven’t used an SE in a while so decided to break out what was my daily razor for the last 5+ years. My technique was a bit rusty, but I was still able to get a DFS with minimal feedback from the splash.

I’m running low on Gem blades and went to try and purchase some more online. They’ve really gone up in price since I last purchased a few years ago! If anyone knows where to get some in bulk for a decent price, please let me know!
