    Managed an earlier have today without a full day drive before it. Much better today, but I think it is time to hone. Blade felt a little tuggy, so I will give it a whirl tonight. Hopefully my SIL has a tray or pan to soak the stones. I didn’t bring one with me.

    Brush before today’s shave. I tried to get a decent focus on the bristle with a three way split developing.

    Precision Load; Face Lather; WTG/ATG/Cleanup Passes; BBS Result; 46th Consec / 442nd Overall SOTD; MRTNG's Ultra Nightmare Mode AA rules

    Today is AA hump day. The unbleached boar is still slowly-but-steadily breaking-in, with tips starting to split, knot splaying just enough for the bristles to be scrubby without being scritchy, and the backbone being right where I like it. If the current splay and backbone are retained when the knot becomes fully broken in, I can see this becoming my favorite brush. Time will tell.

    The disintegrated Black Boar knot and a brittle bristle's bit in the soap

    On the equator of August (damn I went spell it again "agoust", I've to think twice about this word), the brush is falling to pieces but performing well. Stink almost has gone, the tips are soft enough and the backbone not too stiff or loose.

    The Frioudur is awesome even without stropping with almost the same keenness and more smoothest than the first day.

    I have used half of the aftershave, as I rarely use aftershave and much less with alcohol, I don't know if I'm wasting it. I'll need another bottle by the end of AA, because I'm enjoying it. Alcohol aftershave has been a no-go for me, it tended to cause me ingrow hairs but this time it wasn't like that, which won't be good for my wallet.

    I have been using Stirling the fresher shampoo and conditioner bars all this August, and they really go nicely with the Shires summery tobacco vibe. They also make my hair feel fantastic. I think I'm going to roll with the Stirling bars going forward. There are plenty of flavors to choose from. I also like the no plastic waste packaging.
