    For the first time in three days, I have managed to not nick my nose shaving under it. 🤪

    The blade is holding up pretty well. In hindsight, I wish I would’ve taken a close up of the thing.

    I’m reading a history of a British Tank unit in WW2. One of them won an award and one of the prizes was a brand new razor blade.

    A single double edged blade.

    Puts this all into perspective.

    2 passes. No blood no negative feedback from the Alum.

    Decent shave this morning, the razor unsurprisingly still going strong. Brush doing well, feeling soft and whipping up a grand lather. I think I can see some light at the bottom of the soap as well which is novel.

    Straight shave fourteen and it was the smoothest yet. Two pass WTG and ATG which is exactly what I do with a DE, and for the first time with a straight the results were comparable to a good DE shave (minus a few points for cutting myself a few times). I can definitely say it’s starting to feel more comfortable now, though that comfort is probably leading to overconfidence (see the cuts mentioned above).

    Surprisingly I’m not getting tired of the monotony of AA. Rather, I’m still enjoying this setup (both software and hardware) each day.

    First day of school for the boys here and they both seemed excited to go back and see their friends. I’m excited to have a quiet home office again…

    I was busy packing for a short trip to WI tomorrow and forgot to take a picture of the brush. Not much change since yesterday. I slipped a little and got myself right on the jawline near my ear. Didn’t feel anything, but noticed the blood mixed with the shaving cream. Still ahead, but now it is 10 - 4. Lathering was about the same as yesterday. Until my little nick, I would have said it was the best shave this month. Still deciding if I will back my 8k and 12k stones and hone at my in-laws house, or wait until Tuesday when I get back. I’d try tonight, but I think there are a few more shaves left on this edge.

    The last couple of shaves I've tried to do ATG passes. I don't think this razor is efficient enough for it. WTG and XTG are smooth sailing. But, it drags going ATG. The fixed angle is a hindrance in this regard.

    This was the best headshave I’ve had in recent memory. BBS (for the possible spots) with two passes (wtg and atg) and no touch ups. Now that I’ve finally figured out loading and lather with this brush the next goal is trying to get BBS on the back of my neck without irritation.
