    Cracking shave, no more mishaps like the other day, and the chin as sorted itself out so it's back to going swimmingly.

    Knackered after the zoo yesterday, as is always the case I'm the pack mule, but for 5 of us instead of the usually 3. Of course the daughter was knackered by the time we were halfway around so that was entertaining.

    Chilled one today though and that shave kicked it off nicely.

    Being stuck in a car for 2 days seems to be a boar break in trip. I did use u/loudmusicboy’s suggestion and put it in my center console cup holder for the ride down. It was dry by the time we arrived. Though when we arrived (after a day of visiting things on the way in) our hotel room wasn’t ready. Next morning it just stayed in the dopp bag until I got home because I knew it wasn’t going to be that long.     Precision Load; Face Lather; WTG/ATG/Cleanup Passes; BBS Result; 42nd Consec / 438th Overall SOTD; MRTNG's Ultra Nightmare Mode AA rules

    I don't know what it is about this tub of Rumble, but it requires significantly more water during face lather-building than the other 15 varieties of HoM Tusk-based soaps that I've used. This tub is from the original production of Rumble and is a bit dried out, but so is my tub of Fú Dào and it still behaves similarly to my other HoM soaps. While it takes longer to get Rumble fully hydrated, that means I'm spending more time face-lathering and that should benefit the breaking-in of the Unbleached Boar.

    Here's the Day 12 bristle break-in progress pictures taken just before the shave. Happy shaving and have a wonderful day.

    Straight shave number twelve. I went XTG on the second pass today on my cheeks and chin instead of two WTG passes, and ATG on my neck since I couldn’t seem to figure out any way to go XTG.

    I’m not quite sure the best way to hold the razor for XTG on my cheeks and chin but I managed to make it work. I’m not sure I got my cheeks any smoother than just two WTG passes was giving but I didn’t cut myself either so that’s something. There was progress on my chin today. The second XTG pass got it smoother than just WTG but still felt really awkward.

    The brush is getting soft now with no noticeable pokiness today, but I’m still needing to reload for the second pass.

    Got a great lather today, in spite of the brush. It feels like I’m just willing good lathers into existence without any help from the bristles. Only really seeing any split ends in the hairs around the outside of the knot, still almost none through the middle.

    Rare mid-day shave today. Open House at work so I actually need to look clean shaven so parents don’t judge me. This will help with the transition to morning shaves with classes starting Wednesday as well.

    Finally got the brush to splay, but it took a bit of effort. Almost 2 weeks in and probably equivalent to around the 5-7 use of the Moar Boar. No blood again. Did go pretty slow today. Took about 30 minutes from prep to clean up.
