    Starting the day off early for my first Naturalist class. Great shave this morning-blade is getting a smidge duller, but still acceptable with some life. No EDP for me today. This scent really permeates- even the soap alone so I’m hoping the mosquitoes don’t flock to me as I’ll be outside most of the day in the forest preserve. Early flight tomorrow. Enjoy the day!

    Went to a Brazilian Steakhouse last night and I was not impressed. Just bring me my steak on a plate. Stopping by my table to hack off a few bites every so often isn’t a meal experience I care to recommend. The salad bar was very nice.

    This morning’s shave was a bit rushed. But no nicks of any kind

    I played being a good Dad and watched/supported my son's soccer team participate in a one-day tournament (they won the championship in their age group - Yea!). What I didn't do so good was protect myself from the sun. For most of the tourney the bleacher area was shielded from the sun, but for the championship game the sun had a spotlight on me. While I started the day pasty white, now I'm the same color as a Maine lobster after taking a boiling water bath. You'd think after 61 years I'd know how to protect myself from the sun, but today proved once again that I'm a very slow learner. Luckily the burn doesn't hurt, so I was able to complete today's shave without any discomfort.

    Another no fault shave, but not the smoothest shave. Lather is getting better. I can uncomfortably splay the knot with enough pressure. Still a ways to go there before it. There is definitely a difference breaking in the unbleached brush vs. my previous bleached Zeniths. Switch to a little spray bottle to wet the lather is making it less messy than dipping the brush in water, or trying to splash it on my face. The time spent working on it remains about the same.

    I enter double digits in straight shaves today with my tenth straight shave ever. Our bags were delayed coming home from the beach last night, so I was a little worried this shave wasn’t going to happen today. We had checked all my son’s lacrosse equipment and he has tryouts tomorrow, so we really needed to make sure we had them, so we decided to stick around at the airport for two hours to pick them up after the next flight (which they came in on) rather than trust the airline to deliver them on time (and not lose them) and as a result I got all my shave gear as well.

    Not my closest shave ever, and I got one small cut on my chin, but on a positive note, there was zero sting from the splash so no irritation.

    Quick ~~1 pass with touch up~~ it was def 2 because me and my family need to watch tv. Usually I leave the tub open to dry but yesterday the edges started to seperate so I pushed the soap down and I am leaving the tub closed.

    EDIT: I was just informed of my mistake, so the following is my reasoning to not be disqualified by u/whosgotthepudding: 1. I basically did a second pass, I did my whole neck, chin, but simply skipped my cheeks 2. It was because of my mom and sister for family movie night 3. I still got in my experience and XTG practice on areas much harder than the cheeks 4. I'm too young to die!

    Another decent shave. Getting more and more used to the angles but I still struggle on the neck. Narrowing it down to just the Adam's apple area, which just has too much going on to allow the blade to glide smoothly in any direction. Will need more workshopping. Putting on the alum afterwards still feels like I'm taking poison damage in an RPG, but I've resigned myself to that by now. Keeps me awake and on my toes, I guess. At least there was no blood today.

    After I was done and washing up, a minor earthquake (read: my fat ass taking a heavy step) caused my razor to tumble into the wash basin. Luckily I'd already taken out the blade, but the razor body's damn plastic tail broke off again. Super glue didn't hold it together too well, and I don't want to get the shit all over my hands again so soon after the last debacle, so I'm holding off on fixing it for now. Might see if I can do tomorrow's shave tail-less and see how badly that impacts my ability to not slice myself open.
