One thing I failed to account for here is I’m taking a 24 hour trip with my kids, dad, and brother to KC to see a baseball game. I can either pack this set or figure out how to shave when I get home. Each has risks. Obvious risk of packing a full set (though we are driving) but if I wait, there’s a good chance I don’t have time to shave when I get back. I’ll have to figure it out. One hard thing is I’m getting up and leaving first thing tomorrow, which means I’ll have to shave then throw wet gear into my dopp bag.
The brush continues to break in, I don’t have a ton of boar experience, but my understanding Zenith brushes break in very quickly. he’s a pick of it next to moar boar you can see the new brush (top of pic) is very similar until the very center where it still needs to break in. But it’s already stopped eating soap, and feels less scritchy than when I started, so it’s like 90% there.
The blade dragged today, no blood, but I had a moment of panic as we’re not even 30% of the way through. Though my Gem did this last year too, and once I got my soap game back on point it was fine.
