    Settling in nicely, the boar has backed off eating the soap at this point leaving plenty for multiple passes from one loading. The ends are splitting nicely, still a long way to go but it's coming along well.

    Yesterday I stopped my workout die to several spots in my body hurting. At home, I set the timer for 2 minutes, shouted and screamed my anger about that stupid CrossFit out. After that, I went back to being a chill dude. Today, I am lost how to continue working out (and what to play on Magic this weekend). Let’s enjoy a good Ramen at summer weather and think everything through.

    A colleague came to my office and said that it smells like sunscreen. Dunno if he thinks bell ringer smells like that, but the colleagues sitting closer to me never said anything.

    It is still taking a decent amount of time to build a lather, but small signs of the bristles softening are showing. I can’t splay the knot, but it bends a little more. Shave was pretty good. Still not as smooth as a three pass DE shave, but much closer tonight. No burning from the splash! Just the tingleof the coolant. Trying to pay attention to the heel and toe of the blade. I use the toe to maneuver near my ear, but near my goatee, the heel works better. Center of my face I can use the whole edge without much trouble if the lather is slick enough. I have yet to notice much difference in the blade. I suspect when I hone, I’ll just do 8,000 and 12,000; unless there any nicks or dings in the blade.

    Had another good one pass shave. Feel like my stropping must have gone well as my shave was extra smooth today. I usually do 30 strokes linen side and 60 on the leather side. I do 30 strokes again on the linen side after I'm all done.

    Anybody keep an extra linen strop around for stopping paste? Never tried it, but curious...
