    Another shave that was as close as one with a stropped razor. I'll be doing a microscope image of the edge on the 7th or 8th. I'm interested to see what the edge looks like. It feels exceptionally comfortable while shaving.

    The Black Boar knot

    The knot is deeply disappointing to me. If there is one thing I can't stand in a brush, it is excessive bristle shredding. Yesterday I realized that the soap had sections of bristles of approximately 5mm, I could count more than 15, today I put less pressure loading the soap just the tips with almost no force. But they continue to break, they are so britle, today I count more than 6. It's too soon in August, let's see how it evolves.

    The Friodur is outstanding #nostroping and it's performing almost like the first day.

    So far I’m ahead on shaves without blood 3-2. At the last second, gave a little too much pressure near my jawline, ended up with a weeper bring blood a point closer. Still better than week 1 with a Weck. Otherwise the shave went well. Loading the brush and building the lather took a long time. I think if I can find where I left the empty sample spray bottles, I’ll switch to misting my face instead of using the brush to grab water. I also shaved the back of my neck, but will need my wife to even it up. Hard to get a straight line by feel alone.

    Work was indeed a shitshow. Did a nice easy 2 pass shave tonight, the boar brush held enough lather to do both passes without a reload! I'm pretty blown away by how quickly this thing is breaking in, reminds me of the Maggard boar but with no gel. I typically shave in the AM but these evening shaves have been therapeutic.

    Brush Pics are in the short album - tonight's shave was the best yet, though probably still not "good." I heeded some pudding advice and paid extra attention to the heel, middle, and toe tonight and i think that probably helped me avoid some cuts. Just a couple on my sideburns tonight (which are usually very easy areas because flat, but I digress), otherwise nothing too bad. My chin is an absolute monster to deal with and it's nowhere near BBS - I think tomorrow I'll attack it in very small swaths across the grain and see what happens - if I can get just a few millimeters at a time but do the whole ting would could be golden. Or it'll be a bloodbath, that's always possible.

    Brush is breaking in nicely. Everett is still good.

    I'm improving, I think, slowly but surely. I'll say this - it's only day 5 and this shave was better than any I had with the weck last year, so, I got this. And so do you.

    Straight razor shave number five. No cuts or irritation though I’m still not great at my chin. I’d say DFS everywhere but my chin which is more in the socially acceptable range.

    The brush seemed less lather hungry today. Still no split tips. Seems to be losing about one hair per shave.
