    I feel like the official soundtrack of AA '24 for me should be Pink Floyd's Animals album. I've got Sheep. I've got Pigs. My Dogs are roaming around the house wondering what the hell I'm doing behind the closed bathroom door each morning.

    This brush continues to break in nicely. Before and after pics here. Tips are beginning to split on me and I am liking the way this brush splays. For a soft boar, I also really like the lather quality I'm getting here v. my Semogue 1800. I've been able to get a beautiful sheen from the Sheep. All told, I think I've lost 2 hairs since Thursday so that's good as well.

    The past few days, I’ve been paying more attention to my technique. Making sure the razor is at the correct angle, following the directions each section of hair grows, etc. I’ve also stopped shaving against the grain. I’m not getting those highly coveted BBS results, but I still look presentable at the end without any extra irritation. Looking forward to how the rest of this week plays out!

    I’ve been around these parts for a while, but this is the first SOTD I’ve ever done! If I fuck up the formatting etc, please feel free to correct me and I promise I will not compare you to a hate group or mention an obscure medical condition that has nothing to do with a free internet shaving contest. With that out of the way, this was a pretty nice shave. Hadn’t shaved for a few days so the Level 2 took the growth down nicely and the Glacial Mutton base was very forgiving of multiple passes. Finished with the Citron, very excited to get a flair after being a member for a while here but especially to rep the Mutton Tallow I’m such a fan of both in Shave and Bath Soap too! Hope everyone has a good day, and upcoming week.

    Yesterday I complained I wasn’t getting a good lather with this brush and hadn’t for a long time after it being amazing for awhile. /u/Zimora suggested a 1:1 vinegar rinse with Dawn. Since I had previously washed it with shampoo I skipped the Dawn and since I like to overdo things I did a 2/3rd vinegar 1/3rd water solution. I let it sit for like 10 minutes because I got distracted by other things.

    It worked great! The lather I got was superior in every way. After a few shaves I may do it again to get out residual hardness, and I think I’ll give the rest of my brushes the same treatment considering we had hard water for so long.

    Last night in Boston, one more half day our touring around, over to Cambridge for the Natural History Museum before heading back home on Amtrak.

    Great shave tonight as I’ve come to know the last three nights. Might want to slow down on subsequent shaves to see if I can be efficient enough with the CB plate to just do a 2 pass shave with results. Still amazed this plate leaves me with no irritation around my Adam’s apple. Also. I could be a bit more frugal with my Orbit application, especially near me eyes. Varen is still slick as shit, once I get home I’m going to weigh again to see grams per shave.

    Also, love seeing all the sheep in these August pastures. Keep up the great work shepherds!
